The client
Skånebeslag AB is a B2B company that offers sustainable interior design solutions for companies. They have everything in fittings and manufacture products for lifelong durability.
The website is built on TYPO3 CMS with advanced functions of product manager and search. It has two installations for Skånebeslag itself and a manufacturer Skånebeslag Snickeri.
Process/Challenge
Together with the client, we defined both functional and non-functional requirements, established security standards, and agreed upon a redesigned structure. This approach ensures an easy-to-maintain, SEO-optimized platform that meets all performance, usability, and security needs.
Our Solution
Search
The indexing of the products plays an essential role for website performance. That’s why all changes done to site content (pages content, products) are automatically tracked by Search engine and re-indexing helps to keep Search engine indexes clean from obsolete/garbage data.
Each field provided for the product (like name, description, subcategories, etc) can be given a boost by appending the value. The boost takes influence on what score a product gets when searching and thus how products are ranked and listed in the search results. A higher score will move the product up in the result listing.
SEO Audit
After taking over the website we performed the audit and investigated what could be improved on the website, for example the reason for improper URL formation and gaps in meta descriptions. We have checked for any security issues, duplications and coverage. The audit itself and implementation of recommendations eliminated some of the dysfunctions that have been the highest priority to the client
Upgrade
Upgrading the TYPO3 version improved the website's performance, enhanced data protection measures, and provided a more modernized backend user interface for administrators. Additionally, the audit process identified unused extensions, which were reviewed with the client and removed to ensure the project’s relevance and streamline functionality.
