The Client
The Archeparchy of Philadelphia plays a significant role as a prominent ecclesiastical territory within the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in the United States. It is a vital hub for religious, historical, and community activities, serving as a bridge between the church and its parishioners.

The Challenge
The Archeparchy’s existing website contained a wealth of valuable content, but it lacked a clear and intuitive structure. The outdated design and navigation made it difficult for visitors to access crucial information and reduced the overall user experience. Together with the client, we aimed to restructure the site, making it more accessible while ensuring it reflects the rich tradition and modern relevance of the Archeparchy’s mission.

Solution
Navigation System Overhaul
We focused on redesigning the navigation structure, creating a clear hierarchy that aligns with the diverse needs of the Archeparchy's audience—parishioners, clergy, and the wider community. Our goal was to ensure that visitors can easily access important sections, such as history, news, and parish information, with just a few clicks.
News and Articles Integration
One of the primary content needs was an efficient system for managing news and articles. We implemented a feature-rich news system within TYPO3 CMS, allowing administrators to quickly update the site with current events, articles, and announcements. This upgrade optimized the content workflow, making updates more frequent and relevant.

Parish Locator Tool
We developed a custom “Find the Parish” feature, allowing users to locate their nearest parish easily. This tool helps parishioners identify local churches by entering their location or browsing a map. It’s a simple yet crucial addition, especially for newcomers or those looking for specific services.
Future-Proofing with a Planned Admin Panel
Looking ahead, we proposed creating an admin panel that will act as a central hub for clergy. This section will serve as a document library for shared resources, making internal communication and resource sharing more efficient within the Archeparchy. The platform will evolve into a dynamic communication tool for both external and internal use.
The Result
The redesigned website has breathed new life into the Archeparchy’s digital presence. The new platform offers a more user-friendly interface, making it a reliable resource for parishioners to find news, events, and historical insights. It fosters a stronger connection between the Archeparchy and its parishes, offering up-to-date information and better communication.
Future enhancements, like the admin panel, will add even more value, transforming the website into a comprehensive resource for the clergy, facilitating document sharing and collaboration across all parishes.
